ACT BASKETBALL TRAINING PLAN

The ACT Basketball travel team program will provide each athlete with the competitive advantage of professional trainers in addition to organized, productive team practices. Team members will have 2 team practice per week, along with a 3rd supplemental training day conducted by professional trainers including speed, strength and power along with basketball fundamentals, skill work and fine-tuning.

  1. Physical Fitness – we recognize to develop a strong player, we have to develop the whole athlete. An integral part of training during the season and in the off season will be conditioning; specifically in the areas of speed, strength, power and vertical ups. 
  2. Basketball Fundamentals – specific time will be dedicated to developing skills and fundamentals rather than playing the game itself during supplementary training. Areas of focus will include shooting along with shooting, dribbling, passing and fine-tuning defensive techniques.
